On 24 October 2026, Mat and I will be going live on South Wales ONE
Radio for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for LATCH Welsh Children's
Cancer Charity.
My daughter, Autumn, is 13 and has faced cancer three times in her life.
She was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when she was just two weeks old,
pineoblastoma at three years old and is now undergoing treatment for
osteosarcoma.
As a family, childhood cancer has been part of our lives for far longer than we ever
could have imagined. And throughout that journey, organisations like
LATCH have been there.
LATCH supports children and their families throughout cancer treatment at the Children's
Hospital for Wales. Their help goes far beyond the hospital ward. They provide
practical, emotional and financial support and help families stay
together at a time when normal family life can suddenly disappear.
We've experienced first-hand just how much that support matters. So this is our
chance to give something back.
There is another bit of history to this one too. Back in 2020, Mat and I took on a
24-hour charity broadcast together for Dreams & Wishes. Six years later, despite Mat
insisting he was far too old to ever do it again, we're getting the team back together.
