Are you brave enough to take on the combined knowledge of our team of presenters in a Quiz Round of your choice, while helping us raise funds for Dreams & Wishes?

Here at South Wales ONE we like a bit of a challenge when it comes to fund raising (remember the #24hrsForSmiles radiothon back in 2020?)!  So this year instead of 1 event to raise vital funds for Dreams & Wishes, we are planning 2!

Dreams & Wishes are a charity dedicated to helping seriously ill children by making their dreams and wishes come true. Since 2011, they have been working with families across the UK, providing vital support throughout the child’s illness as well as helping to build happy memories by granting lifelong wishes.

#12hrsForSmiles

First comes the mental challenge. We’ve teamed up with The Lewis Arms in Tongwynlais to bring you the #12hrsForSmiles Quizathon where your can challenge our team of presenters knowledge in a 12hr quiz of epic proportions.  You get to choose the topic, and presenters you wish to challenge, in a series of questions to earn points for the challengers.  You are welcome to challenge alone or as a team, we’ll still beat you!

If you think you have what it takes to beat our collective brains then come on down to The Lewis Arms on Saturday 26th March 2022 from 10am for 12hrs of questions, music and fun!

If you can’t make it down to the venue throughout the day you can challenge us over a Google Meet session.  Everyone who challenges will accrue points, as will the South Wales ONE team.  If we are behind at the end of the event we lose, which brings us on to

#2MillionStepsForSmiles

Then comes the physical challenge….. During April, as a team we will aim to walk 2 million steps (approximately 1000 miles) for Dreams & Wishes before the end of the month, but you can make this harder!  If you can beat us at the Quizathon we’ll make that into a whopping 3 million steps!

Finally we would like to offer a huge thanks to Saera and the team at The Lewis Arms, without whom we would not be able to bring you this event and raise vital funds for Dreams & Wishes.
